Pastor David has served as our transitional Pastor and now our full time Pastor since April 2016. He is excited about what the Lord is doing at Heartland and is delighted to have the opportunity to serve as our congregation’s shepherd. David has served in several rural, suburban and urban churches over the years and also currently serves as the administrator of the Harrisonville, Missouri, Ministerial Alliance. He is a graduate of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (D.Min.), Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div.), the University of North Texas (M.S.), and Truman State University (B.A.). David and his wife Diane are the parents of two grown children, one of whom is a pastor.
Pastor Greg Colliver is one of the original members of Heartland Church. It was there as a youth he discovered his purpose and ministry. Being born to a military family afforded him the experience of living in England and the U.S. Greg has served in the ministry in various capacities and as a vital part of the community. Together with his wife Deedrae he helps a new generation find their destiny by leading the STRIVE youth group. Greg is certified as a counselor through the Association of American Christian Counselors.
Why Heartland Church? I first started attending as a sophomore in High School because of my parents. With time this became the place were my relationship blossomed as a follower of Christ. Another great impact to my life was our previous Pastor, Roger. He led Heartland for over 14 years. His teachings were like no other pastor I had heard. I owe most of who I am today thanks to him. God called me as a youth pastor here. Today, I am very excited to see where God is going to be taking this great church in the future.
My passion & Hobbies: I have a beautiful wife named Deedrae and a great and wonderful daughter named Sharae. I love spending time with them going to the movies, setting at the table at dinner and talking about our day and just loving on them. They are some of the greatest gifts God has given me in my life. My position at church as the youth pastor is a passion as well. It is not something you do just on a whim it has to be a burning desire deep down inside you. Each one of the youth has a very special place in my heart. Music is another passion sometimes God speaks right to my soul through music. Christian rock would have to be my favorite in the past the harder the better was my mantra, but as I get older it has toned down some (but not too much).
